Dear Parents and Students,
The GCSE examinations for 2022 will begin on 16 May 2022 and will be real exams, taken in a real exam hall, the first since May 2019.
With the mocks under their belts I am sure all of our students will be prepared for what is expected but I dont want there to be any surprises so probably best to highlight some of the basics.
- Uniform – you have to be in school uniform, dont turn up in your day clothes.
- Timing – Aim to arrive at the very latest 5 mins before the start of your exam. You have things to do before you can take your seat.
- Belongings – You cant take anything into the exam room so be prepared to handover phones, earpods, watches, mp4s, coats etc
- Behaviour – You cant talk in the exam room, put your hand up and wait for someone to come to you then whisper very quietly
- Drinks – You can bring in a bottle of water but it has to be in a clear bottle and it has to be water ie clear not coloured.
Our website has all the details of the exam dates and staff have spoken to students about revision tools and strategies.
I wish all the students the best of luck and as usual we will be here to support you with any questions you have.
kind regards
Andrew Murray, Headteacher
