Dear Parent/Carer,
As a school we are keen to support our school community, our local universities and where possible to support relevant scientific research.
With this in mind, an opportunity has arisen for us to support Cardiff University’s Wolfson Centre for Young Person’s Mental Health, who are currently running a research trial (Skills for Adolescent Wellbeing) in the area of young people’s mental health and they are looking for parent/carers and their child (aged 13-18) to take part in the study.
For those choosing to take part, the study has potential to offer both the young person and their parent/carer an opportunity to receive additional wellbeing support, to develop their mental health management skills, receive some ‘thank you’ gift vouchers, and to be part of making a valuable contribution to young person’s mental health research.
Attached is a letter from the university containing further information about the trial, including eligibility criteria, along with details of the potential benefits of taking part.
If you and your child are interested in taking part or require any further detail on the trial, please contact the trial staff team via the links provided in their attached letter.
Please be assured that if you choose to take part in the trial, Chadwick High will not be informed and your details will remain confidential within the trial. The trial team will only provide Chadwick High with an overview of sign-up numbers from our school.
Kind regards,
Andrew Murray,Headteacher
