Dear Parents and Carers,
I want to take this opportunity to remind you that the danger of Covid 19 is still very real and can impact on the school and its students as much now as in the past.
Today I have had to send home one of our Year 11 classes as a student in the class has tested positive for covid. We have also lost 3 members of staff to self isolation.
This situation could have been avoided if the Government guidance had been followed.
If a student has symptoms do not send them to school, instead take them for a covid test, if the test result is negative they can return to school instantly.
Not following guidance puts others at risk and has a huge impact on the education of all students.
Can I also remind you to ensure your child continues to test twice weekly with the LFT provided by the school.
The students affected must now self isolate for a period of 10 days, if symptoms develop they must be taken for a test immediately and the result shared with the school if it is within the next 48 hours.
Thank you for your continued support.
